Journal Closure Announcement

The Resilience journal is no longer accepting new manuscripts and will be closing at the end of Volume 7 (2019).

The journal Resilience: International Policies, Practices and Discourses is no longer accepting new manuscripts and will be closing at the end of Volume 7 (2019). For us and for our publishers, Taylor & Francis, the journal was very much an experiment in whether a new non-disciplinary journal without associational subscriptions or external funding could make a run of it in the contemporary publishing world. The answer was yes and no. Yes, in terms of article downloads and article citations – we applied for and achieved Web of Science ESCI Indexing – but no, in terms of the institutional subscriptions that the publishers required to make the journal financially viable. The journal would like to thank all of our unpaid contributors and reviewers, editorial team and advisory board members, as well as the production team for their support for the journal over the last 7 years. All the published articles in the journal, of course, remain available to view and download.
