About the Role
We are looking for an Editor-in-Chief with a broad background in statistics and probability and the leadership and organizational skills to help us launch a new journal offering for statisticians.
The Editor-in-Chief will be responsible for editorial oversight and decision-making on submissions, with the support of their editorial board. They will confer with authors regarding their manuscripts and peer review; supervise and coordinate the work of associate editors and reviewers; and plan the contents of publication according to the Journal’s style, editorial and ethics policies, and scheduling requirements.
As this is a new journal, the Editor-in-Chief will be responsible in appointing the first board, which will include Associate or Section Editors and Editorial Board Members who broadly represent different areas and expertise within statistics and probability. The ideal candidate is collaborative, flexible, and active in the scholarly community. They also have strong personal networks which will help shape the journal.
Taylor & Francis will provide systems training, support, and remuneration for the role to cover any journal-related expenses. We will also help the Editor-in-Chief organize regular board meetings and will supply annual reports reflecting on the performance of the Journal. Research in Statistics will utilize an online peer review system, ScholarOne Manuscripts, and a production tracking system.

• How you would solicit and create a steady flow of quality submissions
• How you would work with authors and maintain timely and efficient peer review
Research in Statistics is a new open access journal, set to launch in 2022. It will be an international, peer reviewed journal encompassing all aspects of statistics and probability. Papers submitted for consideration should provide novel contributions in statistical theory or applications as they relate to the following interdisciplinary topics:
