Emerging Microbes & Infections
Open for submissions
As an international, peer-reviewed journal, Emerging Microbes & Infections (EMI) aims to provide a timely dissemination of research on emerging immunology and microbiology viruses. Research on microbes and infections, especially those associated with increasing biological and clinical significance and pathogenic frequency, are of most interest to the journal.
The sheer volume and complexity of such information has gone beyond the scale and scope of existing specialty journals, and thus EMI is committed to bridging the gap between scientific communities in developed and developing countries where most of the emerging microbes and infections have occurred in recent years.
Below are special topics published by the journal in recent years. If you find that your current research fits within the scope of this journal, submit your research for publication in EMI.
Emerging and re-emerging coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, and COVID-19.
Research and review articles on the basic, translational and clinical studies related to these coronaviruses.
Ebola virus disease in both developing and developed countries in recent years.
Papers published in this area include commentary and original research articles covering drug discovery, passive immune therapy and vaccine development.
DRUG RESISTANCE AND NOVEL ANTIMICROBIAL AGENTS
Papers on all medically relevant bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi including epidemiology and surveillance of resistant microbes, mechanisms of action and resistance, detection, treatment practice/strategies, and new drug development.
Research reports and high quality reviews on TB research including epidemiology, fundamental research, development of new diagnostics and biomarkers, development of new drugs and vaccines, and public health issues related to this important pathogen.
Updates from the classical emerging infections.
Covering hepatitis viruses in terms of biology, pathogenesis, immune response, therapy, and prevention, with special emphasis on recent progress.
