Throughout 2020, all authors are eligible to publish open access in PRX with a waived APC
PRX offers a dynamic platform to advance research, innovation and debate across the breadth of political science. The journal seeks to publish significant contributions from all fields. These include comparative politics, international politics or international relations, political communication, political sociology, political thought, public administration and interdisciplinary work with a predominantly political dimension.
PRX is published in partnership with the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR).
Quality: An international group of associate editors represent the scope and breadth of ECPR, and ensure fairness with triple-blind external peer review.
Depth: Editorial evaluation and independent peer review are combined with a digital-first system so that authors can embed evidence (including video, audio and data visualisation) and link to datasets, code or supplementary materials.
Accessibility: ECPR subsidizes the publication costs often associated with open access to ensure the availability of quality research, irrespective of funding.
Exchange: The journal seeks to serve as a platform for synergy and exchange across and beyond the study of politics.
Feature all research outputs. As an online journal, PRX does not have the same restrictions as traditional journals. We encourage authors to embed links to other non-text sources of evidence, including video, audio and data visualization, data sets, code, and other supplementary materials.
Unlimited reach. Published open access, your article is available for anyone, anywhere to read immediately on publication.
Submit without formatting. PRX operates a format-free submission process; send us your paper in any scholarly format or layout with any referencing style, provided that these are consistent throughout.
Increased readership. Open access research typically receives greater and more varied readership compared to traditionally-published articles.
Throughout 2020, all authors are eligible to publish in PRX with a waived APC.
Influence public policy. Accessible to fellow practitioners and researchers, your article could reach beyond academia and inform public policy all over the world.

PRX "combines open scholarship grounded in the academic community with the power of a major publisher"
The journal prioritizes articles that speak to key issues and across sub-fields as well as research that engages those working in other sectors such as government, politics, the media and the economy.
In addition to Research Articles, PRX also publishes Research Notes. Research Notes may introduce a new dataset or advance an innovative idea, theoretical perspective, methodological approach or research program in the study of politics. Find out more here.
