Policy Design and Practice

Call for Papers

Editors of Policy Design and Practice invite proposals for special thematic issues to be published over the next three years. PDP articles are written for practitioners by experts based on their careful study, analysis, and experience with ongoing policy problems and governance challenges. As such, the themes must be of broad interest to both the academic and practitioner communities.

To be successful, proposals need to offer a coherent set of well-written topical articles that improve the design and practice of public policies. The papers will engage key issues on the subject relevant to the journal’s worldwide readership. Proposals may include a mixture of empirical cases and conceptual clarifications and discussions of best practices focusing on different aspects of the theme.

Submission Guidelines

Decisions on special issue proposals will be offered within one month of submission. The deadline for submission of final manuscripts will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Completed issues are expected to be published within the year of submission.

There is no deadline for submission of proposals which will be evaluated on a first-come-first-served basis until all allocated theme issue openings have been filled. Please send your queries or proposals via email
