Call for Book Reviews
Representation: Journal of Representative Democracy
Representation: Journal of Representative Democracy provides a venue for debates and scholarship, both empirical and normative, on democratic practices around the world.
We would like to increase the range of books and reviewers included in Representation. We are therefore inviting readers to submit comprehensive reviews of either one or several books that are commonly rooted in the scholarly analysis and critiques and/or empirical study of democratic theory and practices.
Criteria for Publication
Book reviews should be original and insightful and provide a comprehensive survey of one or several books. Book reviews should include detailed synopses and evaluations of the books and give an account of the books’ aims and remits. As appropriate, reviewers should evaluate critically the contributions of the books to the field of representative democracy. Book reviews should be about 4,000-5000 words.

To submit a book review for consideration
Potential book reviewers should contact the Associate Editor, Shan-Jan Sarah Liu, PhD, at [email protected] in the first instance. Completed reviews should be submitted via the Journal’s submission site.
