About the prize
Military Psychology could not perform its mission to publish high-quality articles on the application of psychological principles to military personnel and their families without the tireless effort of reviewers who provide informative and constructive critiques of the manuscripts that are submitted to the journal. To better acknowledge reviewers who consistently provide high-quality peer reviews, we have developed two reviewer awards:
The Reviewers of the Year Award is given to individuals who reviewed many manuscripts for the prior two years that were on time and constructive in nature.
The Military Psychology James Griffith Award for Sustained Excellence in Reviewing is an award recognizing a Military Psychology editorial board member for 5 or more years of sustained excellence in reviewing. This is an award named to honor a dear colleague that passed away, James Griffith, an eminent military psychologist who devoted his life to the field. Jim epitomized this award by consistently providing a large number of reviews for the journal that were constructive and compassionate.
