Will you be at AGU in December?
We're excited to be exhibiting at the AGU Fall Meeting, the largest international Earth and space science meeting in the world.
We can't wait to hear about rapid developments in science, new approaches to observing our Earth and beyond, the introduction of new data streams, growing demand for accessible science, the expansion of convergent science, and everything else.
AGU intend to celebrate the past and inspire the future by bringing together the people, the imagination, and the science that will ignite our next hundred years to make our planet safer, cleaner, and more sustainable. Our role in attending is to facilitate that science by sharing our content and publishing future research.
Come and see us at booth 1409. If you represent a learned society, Journal or organisation who may be interested in partnering with Taylor & Francis send an email to our Portfolio Manager to arrange a chat.
Dr. Andrew Kelly
Portfolio Manager for Remote Sensing, GIS, & Cartography Journals
I hold a BSc Hons in Chemistry from the University of York (UK) and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bath (UK). I began my career in publishing working on Chemistry research journals and have been at Taylor & Francis since 2013. I began my current role of Portfolio Manager in 2014, and am responsible for looking after our Remote Sensing, GIS & Cartography titles.
My role as a Portfolio Manager is exceptionally varied. I act as the first point-of-call for our editors and society partners and work proactively with them to put into place collaborative action plans for the growth of the portfolio by anticipating problems and making improvements through evidence-based journal development.
I also work to grow our portfolio in the Earth Sciences by exploring possible new launches with existing partners and by forming new publishing partnerships with societies and associations, and I look to develop new income streams where appropriate. I also seek to regularly communicate with our research communities, through attending conferences to promote our titles, meeting and talking with authors, editors, and societies (new and prospective), and giving presentations or participating in workshops.

“To Irma Britton of the publisher, Taylor & Francis, I would like to express my special thanks for her encouragement and her patience to have the second edition of my book completed.” – Gottfried Konecny, Emeritus professor at the Leibniz University of Hannover in Germany and former president of the ISPRS
“I would like to thank the acquisition editor, Irma Britton. Thank you for guiding me through the whole process.” – Fahui Wang James J. Parsons Professor and Chair of the Department of Geography and Anthropology, Louisiana State University
Irma’s Environmental Engineering & GIS program consists on the combination of environmental topics such as air pollution, remediation, water science, environmental management and sustainability, with geospatial information and technology used across many disciplines. New geospatial themes and interdisciplinary approaches to problem solving are emerging and most of environmental and earth sciences are using a significant amount of measurement, monitoring, and spatial analysis and a growing amount of visualization. Irma is seeking new Book Series Editors and new content in emergent areas such as geospatial data science, geospatial intelligence, crowdsourcing, visual analytics, forecasting, and all related and applied to natural resources and the environment, emergency planning and response, etc.
