Linear and Multilinear Algebra

Special Issue on 'Numerical Ranges and Numerical Radii' | Deadline: 31 December, 2019

The study of the numerical ranges and numerical radii has a long history, and LAMA has long tradition of supporting the research in this area. In particular, a fundamental result on the subject is the Toplitz-Hausdorff theorem concerning the convexity of the numerical range, which was proved in 1918-19. There were workshops on the research topic held in Germany in 2018, and Japan in 2019 to celebrate the 100 anniversary of the Toplitz-Hausdorff theorem.
