Call for Special Issue Proposals

Pamela Lannutti ([email protected]) will consider proposals for special issues of LGBTQ+ Family: An Interdisciplinary Journal. To propose a special issue, please create a proposal that includes the following:

  • Title of the special issue

  • Rationale for the special issue

  • A list of possible topics to be covered in articles in the special issue

  • Estimate of how many articles will be included in the special issue

  • Name and contact information for the special issue editors

  • A strategy for soliciting submissions to the special issue

  • Timeline for the special issue

LGBTQ Family: An Interdisciplinary Journal is the first journal to address the unique experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals in the context of the family. The journal publishes original research, as well as theoretical and review papers on topics exploring the impact of sexual orientation and gender identity on all aspects of family experience – including family structure, relationships, communication, therapy, and functioning.

Aimed at an international audience, the LGBTQ Family: An Interdisciplinary Journal is interdisciplinary in scope and provides a forum for peer reviewed scholarship from both researchers and practitioners.
Peer Review Policy. All research, theoretical, and review articles in this journal will be submitted to rigorous peer review, based on initial editorial screening and blind review by 2 to 3 referees.
