Learning: Research and Practice

Call for Papers

Learning: Research and Practice is a young journal, launched recently by the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2015. Indexed in Scopus, this journal seeks to explore theoretically and empirically supported learning processes that challenge the existing view.

We accept both established and emerging epistemic warranting methods, and welcome theoretical investigations and empirical studies in the following sections:

  • Research Articles (6,000 words): articles of empirically supported studies on learning, or extended theoretical arguments in the following areas:
    – Multiple perspectives and lenses with key paradigms from the learning sciences, educational psychology and instructional sciences
    – Systematic literature reviews, meta-syntheses and meta-analyses of contemporary approaches to learning

  • Brief Reports (3,000 words): reports of innovative current work at earlier stages of idea conceptualization and/or empirical exploration that is of high value to learning researchers and practitioners

  • Book Reviews (1,000 words): reviews to provide recommendations to the scholarly community
