Biomaterial Investigations in Dentistry

About the prize

The Biomaterial Investigations in Dentistry 'Best Young Author of the Year' award is presented to a first author who at the time of submission of their manuscript is within 10 years of completing their last terminal degree (PhD, DDS, DMD, MD, etc.), and who is of Nordic nationality or has conducted their research in a Nordic country. The winning author will receive 2.000 Euro.

Eligible manuscripts are evaluated based on the following criteria: originality of study, suitability of study design and clarity of manuscript. The winner of the prize is announced at the annual meeting of the Acta Odontologica Scandinavica Society as well as on the journal’s web page.

Biomaterial Investigations in Dentistry

Included in PubMedCentral and indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), this journal publishes high-quality dental research in the areas of oral biomaterials science. The scope of the journal includes basic and clinical aspects of oral biomaterials science in dentistry.

Submissions information

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the Biomaterial Investigations in Dentistry Instructions for Authors and submitted through the Online Submissions Portal. All submitted manuscripts will undergo peer review prior to a decision on publication. 

The deadline for submissions is June 19, 2020.
