The Editors of Journal of Medical Economics (Impact Factor: 2.956, CiteScore: 3.7) are planning a special issue titled ‘HEOR: evolving the management of healthcare under the threat of future pandemics and epidemics‘. The issue will look at how global healthcare systems may have to adapt to a future where there is a higher risk of microbial disease outbreaks. Particular areas of interest include the latest developments of vaccines and treatments, as well as vaccination programmes, management and surveillance of pandemics and epidemics.
