Current issues in Environmental and Energy Economics: Implications for Agriculture, Non-renewable and Renewable Resources, and Other Primary Resources

Environmental economics plays an essential role addressing the complex relationship between economic activities and the environment. In our ongoing commitment to advance academic research in this field, we are excited to announce a Special Issue dedicated to exploring the most current research in Environmental and Energy Economics.

Environmental and energy issues have become a major source of concern for both the scientific community and the general population. This special issue strives to bring together the latest advancements in this field. Specifically, it seeks to narrow the gap between theory and empirical evidence, fostering research that not only identifies challenges but also provides innovative solutions. In this way, we aim at contributing to the global discussion on sustainable development and policy design.

This special issue invites submissions that align with the broader scope of the journal, while focusing on key subtopics critical to understanding the economics of our environment. We welcome original research articles, both theoretical and/or empirical, that shed light on, but are not limited to, the following subtopics:

Climate Change, Sustainable Development, Renewable and Non-Renewable Resources, Energy Transition, Environmental Policy, International Trade and the Environment.

Authors are encouraged to explore these subtopics and contribute visions that not only expand our theoretical and empirical understanding but also offer policy implications for policymakers and stakeholders. We believe this collection will serve as a valuable resource for those looking for a comprehensive view of the most modern economic challenges and opportunities in the domain of environmental and energy economics.

All manuscripts submitted to this Article Collection will undergo a full peer-review; the Guest Advisor for this collection will not be handling the manuscripts (unless they are an Editorial Board member). Please review the journal scope and author submission instructions  prior to submitting a manuscript.

The deadline for submitting manuscripts is 18 October 2024.
