Celebrating 20 years of the Journal of Information Display

Journal of Information Display (JID) is the international journal of the Korean Information Display Society (KIDS) and has been publishing research papers and reviews in the field of display technologies. It was launched in 2000 and published four issues a year as a fully open access journal since 2017. JID has a 20 year history as the main platform for advancements in display technology and the industry by allowing display researchers and engineers to share their knowledge, find latest achievement, and collaborate with one another.

As such, we would like to celebrate the 20th anniversary of JID and KIDS by publishing a special collection of JID's most cited paper from each year since 2000. This collection of 20 articles showcases display technology trends and advances made over the past 20 years.

I wish all readers an enjoyable read and celebrate with us to 20 years and beyond of pushing boundaries in display technology research.
