International Interactions: Call for a Special Issue 2021
Deadline: 15th July 2019
International Interactions is a leading interdisciplinary journal that publishes original empirical, analytic, and theoretical studies of conflict and political economy. It is a journal of the International Studies Association, published by Taylor & Francis.
II publishes annual special issues in research that focuses upon the broad range of relations and interactions among the actors in the global system, and is now soliciting proposals for a 2021 special issue. We welcome special issues on topics that include political violence (such as interstate conflict, civil wars, and terrorism), conflict management and resolution, economic development, regional integration, trade relations, institutions, and globalization.
The deadline for submitting proposals is July 15, 2019. A decision on the special issue will be made in August.
The proposal should contain: Short bios for prospective guest editors, an introduction about 300-500 words in length that discusses the contribution of the proposed special issue and the literature that it advances, a minimum of 10-12 paper abstracts (no longer than 250 words each) including names, affiliations and titles of all (co-)authors who are submitting to the special issue.
Special issue proposals will be evaluated on the quality of the papers as well as the theoretical and empirical contribution of the proposal as a whole. In addition, we will also consider the gender, ethnic, and geographical balance of the submitted proposals.
We ask that proposals adhere to the following template:
- Guest editor(s)’ biographical sketch(es)
- Article abstracts and authors
Authors must be committed to submitting papers for initial review by November 1, 2019. After review, revision rounds, and final decisions, we expect papers accepted to the special issue to appear in the first journal issue of 2021.
