As changes are implemented across the European Union towards Medical Device Regulation (MDR), this Article Collection aims to capture challenges and opportunities surrounding new MDR compliance requirements. From product lifestyle to device evaluation in the EU, the collection will cover the complexities of the regulatory environment
We welcome many article types that may include the following: Reviews, Perspectives, Original Research, Device Profiles, Editorials and Plain Language Summaries of Publications (PLSPs).

About the Guest Advisors
Olivia McDermott
Olivia McDermott is an Associate Professor in Operational Excellence & Regulatory Affairs in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Galway. She is the director of several industry-focused postgraduate courses in Medical Technology Regulatory Affairs and Quality.
Her research expertise is in Digitalisation, Operational Excellence, Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs with a focus on Medtech and Pharma. She is a principal investigator on the EU Horizon-funded EU4MEDTECH program.
