About the special issue
As we learn more about the behaviors and functions of stem cells, the breadth of their clinical utility is expanding. Stem cell therapy holds promise for treating a wide range of diseases including neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, diabetes, heart disease and more. To show our commitment to this vital area of research, Expert Opinion on Biological Therapy is publishing a special issue on clinical innovations in stem cell therapy in 2023. This issue will explore what therapeutic advancements are being made, what challenges remain with their clinical translation (including how these may be overcome) and what the future of these therapies hold. We welcome review articles, original research, perspectives, interviews, and short editorials that highlight these innovations in stem cell therapy in the clinic.
