Gastrointestinal Oncology: Management and Care

About Gastrointestinal Oncology: Management and Care

The journal that deals with molecules, medical care and managed healthcare systems.

Gastrointestinal malignancies account for more cancers and deaths from cancer than any other system in the body, with incidences of young-onset GI cancers on the rise. The surface area of the GI tract is equivalent to 1.5 tennis pitches, which creates challenges for early detection, high health care costs, and gaps in translational research. Consequently, there have been pioneering developments in the diagnosis, prognostication, and therapeutic management of upper gastrointestinal, lower gastrointestinal, pancreato-hepatobiliary and other gastrointestinal associated oncological lesions.

Gastrointestinal Oncology: Management & Care is a multidisciplinary, open access, peer reviewed journal publishing novel and confirmatory research on the prevention, detection, treatment, and management of all gastrointestinal cancers. Gastrointestinal Oncology: Management & Care aims to serve as a collaborative forum for the community of medical professionals who treat GI malignancies and for patients looking to understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
