Gastrointestinal malignancies account for more cancers and deaths from cancer than any other system in the body, with incidences of young-onset GI cancers on the rise. Professor Janusz Jankowski is an expert in health promotion. He has trained in the Universities of Cambridge, Glasgow, London, Warwick, and Lancashire Business School.

He is an award-winning doctor, with 40 years expertise in internal medicine, gastroenterology, nutrition, and cancer prevention. His research has pioneered a better understanding of the genetics of cancer prevention. As an author of over 250 scientific papers, he received $150m in research grants.

His contributions to medical science have received approbation by prestigious awards including the Sir Avery Jones Prize and the Sir James Black professorship. He is Editor-in-Chief of one of the best regarded reference textbooks in Gastrointestinal Oncology.

During his career he has trained, taught, and led in top Universities in Europe, the Middle East, the Pacific, and the USA including Oxford and the University of California, San Francisco. He has been one of a handful of senior clinical advisers to the UK’s National Institute for Health and Care Excellence and is an invited health expert for the national broadcasters such as the BBC and ABC.
