About the special issue
Expert Review of Hematology and guest advisor Professor Leonard Valentino (National Hemophilia Foundation, USA) are pleased to announce an upcoming special focus issue on hemophilia for 2023. The landscape of hemophilia and bleeding disorders is changing rapidly with the advancement of novel gene therapies and technologies creating new treatment opportunities and challenges, such as age-related comorbidities, for both clinicians and patients. This special focus issue aims to highlight novel therapeutic advancements, how these can be expanded to patients globally, and their implications for the entire bleeding disorders community. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
◦ Hemophilia A
◦ Hemophilia B
◦ Gene therapy and its alternatives
◦ Standard of care for treatment
◦ Novel treatments
◦ Other clotting disorders such as von Willebrand disease
