Evidence-Based Toxicology

An Open Access Journal

Evidence-Based Toxicology is a gold open-access journal that publishes manuscripts utilising or advancing evidence-based methods in the toxicological and human environmental health sciences. It is the official journal of the Evidence-Based Toxicology Collaboration.

The journal defines “evidence-based toxicology” as the development or application of approaches to research and publishing that improve the use of evidence when evaluating and responding to how environmental exposures affect human health. It publishes lab-based and epidemiological primary and secondary research, study protocols, methodological and meta-research, expert commentary, and research into the science-policy interface.

The journal aims to set an example of best practices in scientific publishing, including publication regardless of significance of results, encouragement to publish planned methods prior to collection of data, the consistent and fair treatment of all authors, and transparency of decision-making.
