Evidence-based Classification in Paralympic Sport

The Journal of Sports Sciences (JSS), in association with the International Paralympic Committee, is planning a special issue focusing on ‘Evidence-based classification in Paralympic sport’. The intention is to publish the special issue to coincide with the Summer Paralympic Games to be held in Tokyo from 25 August to 6 September 2020.

The journal invites submissions that meet the guidelines published on the journal’s website. Papers can cover any aspect of evidence-based classification research that aligns with the sports science sub-disciplines covered by JSS.  The preference is for submissions presenting original data, although a limited number of high-quality position statements or review papers will be considered.

Papers should be submitted for consideration via the journal’s customary web portal, where the special issue is already identified. Please direct any informal queries to one of the Special Issue Editors. While prior approval is not necessary to submit a paper for consideration, please lodge a pre-submission enquiry to one of the Editors of the Special Issue if you wish to submit a paper that doesn’t present original data to receive advice regarding suitability for submission.

Final Submission Date: 31 December 2019
