with European Security

Deadline: Friday, 26 March 2021

European Security is seeking proposals for a special issue to be published in 2022. Special issues should be devoted to a theme within the aims and scope of the journal.

Special issues should consist of eight to nine articles, including a substantial introduction, of up to a maximum of 9,000 words including references and notes, which conform to European Security submission criteria, and a conclusion. Please note that we will not accept special issue proposals which have only male contributors. We particularly welcome proposals which are gender-balanced.

Each proposal should include the following:

  • A brief outline of the thematic or conceptual focus of the issue and the rationale for the issue (2-page max)
  • Contact details, institutional affiliation and short bios of the special issue co-editors
  • List of agreed articles and authors for the issue
  • An initial indication of the timeframe for completion of the articles, which should be no later than 1 December 2021.
