Clinical metabolomics: Biomarkers and metabolic phenotyping
Submit your research to Expert Review of Proteomics
Guest Adviser – Dr Christoph BorchersAbout the Article Collection
With greater understanding of the genetic predisposition to disease, the potential to develop biomarkers to guide clinical care comes hand in hand. Untargeted metabolomics to help identify biomarkers and metabolic phenotypes of pathologies will contribute to more targeted screening and more emphasis on precision medicine, improving patient outcomes.
We encourage papers discussing a metabolomic approach to advancing therapeutics biomarkers and identifying metabolic phenotypes of pathologies. The Article Collection aims to discuss clinically impactful developments in biological mass spectrometry, protein assays, interaction maps, data archives and biological assays through original research, reviews, editorials, special reports and perspective papers.
The benefit of publishing as part of an Article Collection is that they often become a key resource, driving a research community forward. This has a synergistic effect on every article in the Collection. The articles often receive more views and higher citation numbers as the Collections receive increased promotion via social media and our marketing team.
Expert Review of Proteomics are aiming to publish the Article Collection in Winter 2025. If you are interested in contributing to this Article Collection, or would like to learn more, please contact the Commissioning Editor, Olivia Clovis-Corbett, who would be happy to assist.
