Deadline

About the role

Annals of Medicine is currently recruiting for a Section Editor within the Urology section. This role is a great opportunity for an academic with a strong research background in urology, and who also has the commitment, drive and ability to help develop the journal. Section Editors are the head of their Section. They have overall responsibility for the content that is published in their Section.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for making editorial decisions on a subset of manuscripts submitted to the section, delivering content of suitable scope and quality for publication within an agreed timeframe. Section Editors are responsible for setting and executing journal strategy, in collaboration with the Executive Editor; provide leadership and guidance to Associate Editors and the Editorial Board for their Section; and should take a lead role in the commissioning of new articles for their Section. You will be supported in this role with appropriate training by a number of expert in-house teams at Taylor & Francis responsible for initial checking of papers and inviting of reviewers.

Becoming the editor of a journal is a rewarding and fulfilling experience where you have the opportunity to build your own networks, develop and promote the research in your field, and be recognized as a leading figure within the academic community.
