About the role

British Journal of Guidance & Counselling is currently looking to expand its current roster of peer reviewers, as well as the editorial board. We welcome applicants from diverse cultural backgrounds and disciplines who have an interest in the practice of counselling, psychotherapy and career services, and allied fields.

If you are interested in becoming a reviewer for British Journal of Guidance & Counselling, please submit an application below.

In your cover letter, please identify the field you are interested in reviewing: (a) counselling and psychotherapy, (b) career counselling and career development and (c) cross-disciplinary issues relevant to counselling, psychotherapy and career services.

If accepted as a reviewer, we will add you to our database and supply you with the following:

  • 60 days’ free access to Taylor & Francis journal content upon agreeing to review, providing you with resources to assist with your review
  • Free access to British Journal of Guidance & Counselling
  • A peer reviewer confirmation certificate (upon request)

We are also accepting editorial board member applications at this time. Please submit an application below.

If accepted as an editorial board member, we will add you to our ScholarOne peer review system and provide free access to the journal during your tenure. EBMs are expected to provide 5-6 reviews annually.

As an international journal, the British Journal of Guidance & Counselling provides a high quality platform to authors from across the globe, and from diverse cultural backgrounds and disciplines.

Manuscripts are published under three broad headings: (a) counselling and psychotherapy, (b) career counselling and career development in particular and (c) cross-disciplinary issues relevant to counselling, psychotherapy and career services.
