Recruiting for Associate Editor - Data Notes

Gut Microbes

Deadline
31 March 2023

About the role

Gut Microbes is currently recruiting for an associate editor to handle the peer review for Data Note submissions, an exciting new article type that supports the journal's commitment to open research and to cutting edge trends.

Data notes concisely describe research data (a dataset) which has been stored in a repository prior to submission and allow authors to gain appropriate credit for their research data, reach new audiences, maximise the potential of their research data and foster new collaborations. We're particularly excited about offering this option  now that the NIH has changed their policy to mandate that US authors share their data for all NIH funded research.

We're ideally looking for candidates with experience with this article type or similar article types or datasets. The associate editor would be responsible for assessing the rationale, protocols, materials and methods of the dataset(s) as well as their usability and accessibility and would become part of the Gut Microbes editorial board.
