About the role

The Journal of Microencapsulation is currently recruiting Editorial Board Members.

As an Editorial Board Member for the journal, you will be expected to:

  • Be an active reviewer for the journal, returning reviews to the Editorial Office in a timely fashion.
  • Submit their own research articles and review articles to support the aims and profile of the journal. We ask Editorial Board members to consider submitting at least one manuscript a year.
  • Suggest topics or special issues, and where relevant, solicit content for the journal, helping to ensure high quality contributions.
  • Promote the journal within their key communities.
  • Contribute to the setting of editorial policy and assist in updating the aims and scope of the journal.
  • Comment on published content and suggest future direction of the journal.
  • Maintain the ethical standards of the journal.
  • When appropriate, take part in occasional editorial board meetings.

Editorial Board Members for Journal of Microencapsulation will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in academic publishing and a familiarity with all stages of the process.
  • The capacity to undertake peer review reports for the journal and attend Editorial Board meetings as required.
  • A commitment to engaging promptly and efficiently with your Section Editor.
  • Actively involved in growing and developing your academic networks through conference attendance and experience of networking through social media.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the open access publishing environment.

  • Chemistry of encapsulation materials
  • Physics of release through the capsule wall and/or desorption from carrier and their biological distribution
  • Techniques of preparation, contents, storage and toxicity.
