International Journal of Nanomedicine

30 June 2024

About the role

The International Journal of Nanomedicine is currently recruiting Associate Editors to join its team. The role is a great opportunity for an academic with a strong background in the field of nanomedicine research. Successful candidates will have the commitment, drive and ability to help develop the journal. Associate Editors assist the Editor-in-Chief and have a shared responsibility for the content that is published in the journal. In addition, Associate Editors are also expected to:

  • Act as an ambassador for The International Journal of Nanomedicine and will collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher in advocating for the journal, including raising the profile of the journal.
  • Associate Editors will be assigned articles submitted to the journal within their area of expertise. They are responsible for assessing submissions for suitability, rejecting those that are out of scope, not suitable or unsound. The Reviewer Selection Support team will coordinate the review process, which includes selecting and inviting suitable reviewers. The Associate Editor is responsible for providing their own assessment of the paper and decision, based upon the reviewer reports received, in a timely manner.
  • The Associate Editor should make all final decisions, considering the reviewer reports, as well as their own review of the paper. Articles should be accepted or rejected in line with the journal’s acceptance criteria.

Becoming an Associate Editor is a rewarding and fulfilling experience where you have the opportunity to build your own networks, develop and promote the research in your field, and be recognized as a leading figure within the academic community.
