The only two-year college journal that is international in scope and purpose, Community College Journal of Research and Practice is published twelve times per year. The journal is a multidisciplinary forum for researchers and practitioners in higher education and the behavioral and social sciences. It promotes an increased awareness of community college issues by providing an exchange of ideas, research, and empirically tested educational innovations. All review papers in this journal have undergone editorial screening and peer review.
The readership of the Community College Journal of Research and Practice includes higher education leaders, faculty, administrators, counselors, trustees, policy makers, behavioral and social scientists, and researchers studying higher education with an emphasis on the role community colleges play locally, nationally, and internationally.
Scholarly and research full-length manuscripts should be concise yet sufficiently detailed to permit a critical peer review. Manuscripts are generally no more than 20-35 pages in length, including references, tables, figures, and
appendices. Full- length papers should contain an abstract, which should not exceed 250 words. Research manuscripts should conclude with a section on implications for practice stating what the implications of the research findings are to practitioners in the field and including any recommendations for change indicated by the research results. Scholarly papers should also address implications for practice and, where appropriate, future research and policy. All submissions must comply with the requirements set by the publisher, Taylor & Francis Group, the Editorial Board, and the CCJRP Editor-in-Chief, Dr.
Deborah L. Floyd. Please refer to the following link for details regarding guidelines for manuscripts: http://www.tandfonline.com/action/authorSubmission?journalCode=ucjc20&page=instructions#.VZNB_nnbKU.
