New Section: Methods in Addiction Research
The American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse (AJDAA) is launching the section Methods in Addiction Research. This new, recurring section will include the latest developments, critiques, and updates of state-of-the-art methodological and analytical tools relevant to Addiction.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- Novel methodological or analytical tools;
- Reviews of existing methods that are either under or misused in our field;
- Critical review or perspective of existing methods or techniques including laboratory procedures, laboratory models, and behavioral assessment instruments;
- Updates of good practices for conducting experimental and clinical research and for conducting and reporting data analysis.
This section will encompass perspectives (2,000 words maximum), original articles (4,000 words maximum), or reviews (5,000 words maximum). This will be an ongoing section with at most one piece published per AJDAA issue.
Authors interested in having their work considered for this section should indicate so during the submission process by checking the “Methods in Addiction Research” box in Step 4: Details and Comments.
