Intelligent Buildings International
Special Issue Devoted to Papers Presented at the 1st Trans-disciplinary Workplace Research Conference
Deadline: 1 February 2019
Intelligent Buildings International (INBI) published by Taylor and Francis is pleased to announce a call for papers –3000 to 5000 words--for a special issue devoted to papers presented at the 1st Transdisciplinary Workplace Research (TWR) Conference 2018 in Tampere. Employers, consultants and researchers are constantly looking for ways to better understand and optimise how work can yield optimal results in terms of performance, satisfaction, health and wellbeing. Within this quest, the awareness is growing that the place where work is carried out, plays a vital role. Just like the focus of the TWR network, this special issue aims to bring together work environment papers from all relevant disciplines. This includes, but is not limited to:
- physical work environment (e.g. effects on mental, social and physical health and wellbeing; ergonomics; biophilic design; real estate planning; post-occupancy evaluation; integrated holistic building design; facilities management),
- social work environment (e.g. HRM, behavioural sciences, organisational science, business, health, environmental and occupational psychology),
- digital work environment (e.g. ICT, virtual reality, robotics; health impacts of technology), and
- work environment management (management, economics, value driven design and processes; FM, CREM).
This list is not meant to be exhaustive. Interested authors are encouraged to contact the Editors with alternative proposals.
The deadline for submissions is February 1st 2019
Submissions to the INBI are made using ScholarOne Manuscripts Registration and access are available at: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/inbi.
