Call for Papers

2016 Impact Factor: 2.593 © 2017 Clarivate Analytics, 2016 Journal Citation Reports®

Now ranked 16/100 in Mathematics, Interdisciplinary Applications and 10/124 in Statistics & Probability, Multivariate Behavioral Research (MBR) publishes a variety of substantivemethodological, and theoretical articles in all areas of the social and behavioral sciences.

Most MBR articles fall into one of two categories:

  1. Substantive articles, reporting on applications of sophisticated multivariate research methods to study topics of substantive interest in personality, health, intelligence, industrial/organizational, and other behavioral science areas;

  2. Methodological articles, presenting and/or evaluating new developments in multivariate methods, or addressing methodological issues in current research.

We also encourage submission of integrative articles related to pedagogy involving multivariate research methods, and to historical treatments of interest and relevance to multivariate research methods.

MBR also started a special section entitled Quantitative Methods in Practice: Tutorials.

The intended audiences are:

  • Applied researchers who want (relatively) non-technical discussions/explanations of new quantitative methodologies;

  • Those who teach quantitative methods and would like articles to use in class that would be accessible to students with a wide variety of backgrounds;

  • Graduate students, in either quantitative or substantive areas, who want to learn more about particular quantitative methods.
