Call for Special Issue Proposals
Deafness & Education International (D&EI) is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality original research about the education of children and young people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. The Editors of D&EI endeavour to dedicate one issue per year to a special topic lead by a guest editor.
The field of deaf education covers many disciplines including education, sociology, psychology, anthropology, linguistics, cultural studies and speech science – all of which may be considered for a special issue.
As for all D&EI articles, the special issue will follow an anonymous peer review process so that the reviewers do not know the author's name, and the author does not know the reviewers’ names. Further, it is essential that manuscripts are of the highest ethical standards. The guest editor will lead this process with support from the Editors-in-Chief.
Please submit your proposal to Rachel O’Neill ([email protected]) by the 31st August 2020 and include the following information:
-
Special issue topic and 400-500 word summary with references
-
Potential special issue article topics
-
Special issue guest editor and CV with relevant publication experience
Rachel will provide support to the guest editor with the Taylor & Francis Editorial Manager system and through the peer review process.
