About the Role
We are looking for a new Editor-in-Chief who has a background in medical information services, as well as passion to drive the journal forward in an exciting period of change. It is a significant role, with a high profile; but one that is achievable while maintaining a busy academic/professional work schedule.
The successful candidate will be responsible for editorial oversight and decision-making on submissions. They will have authority to accept articles following successful peer review and will ensure that reviewers and authors adhere to the Journal’s Code of Publishing Ethics. The journal publishes 40-50 articles/columns over four issues per year and is transitioning to continuous online publication of accepted submissions. The journal operates a double-anonymous peer review process.
Taylor & Francis will provide an honorarium to contribute towards editorship-related expenses. T&F will also support the Editor-in-Chief at editorial advisory board meetings and will supply annual reports reflecting on the performance of the Journal.
There will be an agreed handover period with the outgoing Editor-in-Chief to ensure seamless transition. Becoming the editor of a journal is a rewarding and fulfilling experience where you will further develop your networks, promote the research that you are passionate about, and be recognized as a leading figure within the health sciences library community.
