Portfolio Manager for Sociology and Demography Journals
Erato holds a Master’s and a D.Phil. in Cultural Studies from the University of Oxford. She began her career in publishing working on art and design academic journals and has been at Routledge, Taylor & Francis since 2015. Erato is now responsible for looking after our Sociology and Demography titles at Routledge, Taylor & Francis, which she believes is the leading arts, humanities, and social science publisher in the world.
Erato’s role is the first point-of-call for our editors and societies and works proactively with them to put into place collaborative action plans for the growth of the portfolio. She also works to grow our Sociology and Demography journals by forming new publishing partnerships with societies and associations. She is an advocate for Open Science.
Erato occasionally tweets about sociology, demography, publishing trends, and higher education.
Portfolio Manager for Sociology Journals
Gabie Bauman joined Taylor & Francis in 2017 and is currently the Sociology Portfolio Manager. Their journals cover wide subjects such as environmental sociology, human trafficking, deviance, and critical studies.
As a Portfolio Manager, Gabie is the first point-of-call for our editors and society partners and works with them to put into place collaborative plans for the growth of the portfolio. Their favorite part of the position is meeting with authors, editors, and societies to discuss how to best support their subject communities.
Gabie has a degree in Secondary English Education from Temple University and lives in Philadelphia, where they are attempting to grow plants on every available surface and scrap of sunlight.
Commissioning Books Editor for Sociology and Gender Studies
Tyler joined the staff at Routledge, Taylor & Francis in 2015 and is now responsible for commissioning books for Routledge’s Sociology and Gender Studies lists. Through these, he is interested in exploring the various ways in which society operates and he welcomes proposals for textbooks that make foundational and innovative approaches accessible for students in undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as supplementary readings, edited collections, and reference works.
He always looks forward to meeting new people and engaging in conversations about the kinds of questions and issues that interest them the most and their current research.
