Regulations in digital water technologies

The development of digital water technologies is an important aspect of working with, and supplying, water. However, the implementation and regulation of water technologies can ensure that these technologies continue to benefit consumers long-term, without compromising safety and security.

Understanding the value of standardisation across digital water technologies is crucial to ensuring best practices. With this, those working with water technologies can promote continuous improvement and account for global and climate issues affecting water supply.

This Article Collection will solicit articles related to the following subjects. However, we welcome all submissions related to the umbrella topic of regulation in digital water:

  • Impact of data privacy and protection on digital technologies
  • Promoting standardisation amongst digital water systems
  • Performance benchmarking in water management
  • Best global practices for the use of digital solutions in the water cycle
  • Guidelines and suggestions concerning quality assurance regulations (e.g., drinking quality, leaks and wastewater, chemical leaks, sewage)
  • Social and environmental issues affecting regulation, privacy and security
