Mathematical Modeling and Analysis in Biomedicine
Mathematical modeling and analysis in biomedicine combine the mathematical and computational methods in biomedical research to understand complex biological and physiological systems better. It involves developing mathematical models and computational tools that can simulate and predict the behaviour of biological systems under different conditions and using these models to refine hypotheses, optimize interventions, and predict outcomes.
Mathematical models and computational methods can be used to integrate data from multiple sources, such as clinical trials, imaging studies, and genetic analyses. By combining various data types, researchers can develop more comprehensive models that provide better solutions for infectious disease prevention, cardiovascular health improvement, and drug development.
This article collection welcomes cutting-edge contributions and topic reviews on physiological modeling, biomechanics applications, machine learning methods for biomedical research, healthcare informatics, and data mining for drug development and biomedicine.
Possible contributions may include but are not limited to innovations on:
- Physiological and biomechanical modeling
- Biodata mining and interpretation for drug development
- Healthcare monitoring and bioinformatics
- Machine learning for healthcare data analysis
- Computer-aided diagnosis and analysis
- Biological networks related to disease and drug mechanisms
Keywords: Physiological system modeling; Biodata mining; Healthcare informatics; Machine learning; Computer-aided diagnosis
