Christina Völlmecke is head of the Stability and Failure of Functionally Optimized Structures group at the Institute of Mechanics at the Technische Universität Berlin. The junior professor is an expert in geometric-nonlinear modeling in applied mechanics. Current research topics include mechanical and material science investigations of additively manufactured structures and biocomposites in interdisciplinary contexts, with a special focus on environmental sustainability and addressing the Sustainable Development Goals. https://www.tu.berlin/svfs/

Inka Mai studied industrial and civil engineering at TU Braunschweig (Germany), Chalmers Tekniska Högskola (Sweden) and University of Rhode Island (USA). She was a PhD student and a senior researcher at TU Braunschweig and conducted a research stay at Université Bretagne Sud (France). She is now a juniorprofessor at TU Berlin (Germany) and leads the Chair of Robot Assisted Manufacturing of the Built Environment. Her main research focus is on rheology, material-process-interaction in digital fabrication processes and sustainable construction. https://www.tu.berlin/bauroboter

Bilen Emek Abali joined the faculty at Uppsala University in Sweden after studying and working at the universities in Istanbul, Munich, Berlin, Berkeley, and Ghent. A rigorous scientific and teaching expertise he has obtained over the years as a consequence of working and lecturing in several continents. His first research monograph has been published in Springer entitled as Computational Reality, presenting thermodynamical derivation of coupled phenomena involving thermomechanics with electromagnetism in solid bodies and fluids as well as their computation via the finite element method with the aid of open-source codes developed under the FEniCS project. https://www.katalog.uu.se/profile/?id=N20-1797
