Martin Qiuyu Zhu, MD, PhD, Center for Genomic Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA; Cardiovascular Research Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA; Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Cambridge, USA
Dr. Zhu is an Internist and Instructor with a research focus on novel genetic risk factors for coronary artery disease. Dr. Zhu completed clinical training in Cardiology in China. He obtained his PhD in Physiology at the University of Rochester, USA, investigating the genetic basis of thrombosis and novel regulators of endothelial exocytosis, as well as the application of gene editing in studying vascular disease. Dr. Zhu completed postdoctoral research under Drs. Sekar Kathiresan and Patrick Ellinor at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He was an HHMI “Med-into-Grad” Fellow in Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Rochester. His research has received fellowship awards by the American Heart Association and funding by the Broad Institute.
