Kadriye O. Lewis, EdD, Professor of Pediatrics and Director of Evaluation and Program Development, Children's Mercy Hospital, Department of Pediatrics, UMKC School of Medicine, Kansas City, Missouri, USA
Dr. Kadriye O. Lewis is the Director of Evaluation and Program Development in the Department of Graduate Medical Education at Children's Mercy Hospital. She is also Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Dr. Lewis received both her MEd and EdD in Curriculum and Instruction with the emphasis on Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio. She did her postgraduate Diploma in Linguistics in Edinburgh Moray House College, Scotland. Her MA is in English as a Second Language from Eskisehir Teacher College, Turkey. Dr. Lewis is a well-established medical educator with extensive experience in online program development, e-learning course development, instructional design, program implementation and measuring its impact on learners’ achievement. In 2019, she was honored by receiving the OLC Fellows Award because of her outstanding work and dedication to advancing online learning for health professions and medical education. Her research interests are focused on e-learning design, implementation of innovative technologies for curriculum delivery at many levels in healthcare education, including performance-based assessment, the construction of new assessment tools as well as the improvement and validation of existing tools and methods. Dr. Lewis presents extensively at many professional meetings and conferences and has been a keynote/an invited speaker at many international and national universities.
