Timo Strandberg, MD, PhD, Universities of Helsinki and Oulu; Helsinki University Hospital, Finland
Dr.Strandberg is the full professor of geriatrics at the University of Helsinki and Helsinki University Hospital. He also has an affiliation at the University of Oulu, Center for Life Course Research. Dr.Strandberg has specialized in internal medicine (1992) and geriatrics (1993) at the University of Helsinki. Strandberg served as the President of the European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS) in 2014-2015, and is currently the President of the Clinical Section of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG) European Region. His research interests include cardiovascular diseases and their prevention over the life course, geriatric syndromes, esp. frailty and cognitive disorders, and pharmacotherapy in old age.
