Omar Viswanath MD, is a Double Board-Certified Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Medicine Physician practicing in Phoenix, Arizona. He obtained his MD from Creighton University School of Medicine and then completed his anesthesiology residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center of Florida where he served as Chief Resident. At Harvard-Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center he completed his Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Viswanath is Professor (Clinical) of Anesthesiology at LSU Shreveport School of Medicine, Associate Professor (Clinical) of Anesthesiology at Creighton University School of Medicine and an Assistant Professor (Clinical) of Anesthesiology at University of Arizona College of Medicine. He is heavily involved in research with medical students, residents and fellows at all three medical schools and departments. Currently he has authored over 200 peer-reviewed, PubMed indexed research article publications and several book chapters.
