Emerging Market Issues in Asia-Pacific Region
The Emerging Markets Finance and Trade (EMFT) journal, in collaboration with the School of Economics, University Hyderabad (SoE, UoH) and Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), is pleased to announce the second edition of India Conference on Geopolitical Tensions, International Trade and Economic Growth in the Asia-Pacific Region, to be held on December 30, 2026, at the University of Hyderabad.
This conference brings together academicians, researchers, policymakers, and financial market experts to engage in rigorous academic dialogue on the effects of geopolitical tensions – particularly ongoing conflict in West Asia – on trade related disruption and its impact on economic growth in Asia-Pacific Region. The conference aims to investigate how recent external, fiscal and monetary policies reshape international trade and economic performance of the Asia-Pacific Region. Thus, this EMFT Special Issue conference invites high quality papers that deepens our understanding of the complex interconnections between geopolitical tensions and international trade, and its potential risks to economic growth stability.
Submission Instructions
The papers that meet high academic standards will be invited for submission to a special issue of Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, focused on the conference theme. The special issue will be Guest Edited by Professor Susan Sharma, Editor of EMFT, Professor Alok Kumar Mishra of UoH and Professor Badri Narayan Rath of IIT Hyderabad.
