Xiaoshan Gao is currently an Associate Professor at Beihang University. She has long been engaged in the research on the basic theories and key technologies of intelligent decision-making and motion control for robots, including mobile manipulators, special robots, and air-ground collaborative robots. She presides over projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Beijing Science and Technology Plan. She has published more than 40 papers in internationally renowned journals and conferences. She has won the Second Prize of the Invention Achievement Award of the China Invention Association, the Excellent Paper Award of international conferences, etc.
Huifeng Du received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He also earned his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at MIT and his B.S. in Theoretical Mechanics from Peking University (PKU). Prior to joining The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT (2022–2024). His research focuses on the mechanics and application of advanced materials and technologies for health and engineering.
Wang Gang conducts research on artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence, focusing on the integration of perception, decision-making, and control. His work involves the design and intelligent control of advanced robotic systems, including heavy-duty manipulators, redundant hybrid manipulators, air–ground cooperative firefighting robots, and other specialized robots. He has led over 30 national-level projects, including defense programs and key R&D initiatives. His work supports major national missions and has received multiple scientific and technological awards.
