Medical Intelligence: History, Theory and Practice
Medical intelligence (MEDINT) is a specialized intelligence discipline that informs decision-makers about medical, biochemical, epidemiological, and environmental factors that could impact a nation's security. The purpose of MEDINT is to assess adversaries' medical capabilities, anticipate natural or man-made health threats, and predict the spread of a disease that may affect a nation's infrastructure.
All submissions related to MEDINT are welcome; examples of such relevant papers may include
· An assessment of the credibility of incoming health information based on the collection of raw data.
· Assessing trends and risks to a nation's medical readiness through integrated multidisciplinary expertise (e.g., epidemiology, environmental health, veterinary science).
· An analytical methodology that produces actionable intelligence
· Achieving effective force health protection and assessing enemy medical logistics by predicting and mitigating outbreaks.
· Identifying biological threats and weaponized pathogens.
· Artificial intelligence and the transformation of medical intelligence by technology in support of security
· Case Study of medical intelligence participating in a strategic or tactical operation
Submission Instructions
Manuscripts should be between 4,000 to 9,000 words (including the abstract, author bio, references, figures and tables).
