Advances in Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics for Data-Driven Science

This Article Collection aims to collect high-quality contributions to be presented in First International Conference on Mathematics and Applied Data Science (ICMADS‘25) and to highlight recent advances at the intersection of Applied mathematics and Data Science, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary applications. As the complexity of real-world systems grows, mathematical models and data-driven methodologies have become essential tools across a wide range of fields, including engineering, physics, biology, economics, and social sciences. We invite high-quality contributions that explore novel mathematical techniques, computational methods, and data-centric approaches addressing current challenges in science and technology. This Article Collection welcomes both theoretical developments and practical applications that demonstrate the power of mathematics in extracting meaningful insights from data and solving complex, real-world problems.

The integration of Applied Mathematics and Data Science is crucial in addressing today’s complex, real-world problems. Mathematical Modelling provides the foundation for understanding dynamic systems, while data science enables the extraction of insights from large and complex datasets. Together, they offer powerful tools for advancing knowledge and creating practical solutions across disciplines such as engineering, physics, biology, economics, and environmental science.

This interdisciplinary approach is essential for developing reliable algorithms, improving decision-making, and ensuring the robustness of predictive models. As challenges become more data-intensive and multifaceted, the collaboration between mathematicians, data scientists, and domain experts becomes increasingly valuable. In this context, ICMADS’25 will serve as a valuable platform to bring together high-impact researchers and academicians who are actively engaged in applied mathematics, interdisciplinary modelling, and data science applications.

The importance of this field lies in its ability to turn abstract mathematical concepts into real-world applications, supporting innovation and technological advancement. By fostering this integration, we can tackle pressing global issues more effectively and promote sustainable, data-informed solutions in science, industry, and society.

This Article Collection will focuses on the interplay between Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics and their growing impact on Data Science Applications. As modern scientific challenges increasingly require mathematical innovation and data-driven solutions, this Article Collection seeks contributions that advance mathematical theory while addressing practical problems.
