Advanced Characterizations and Applications for Carbon-based Materials

Dear Colleagues,

Carbon-based materials exhibit exceptional mechanical, electrical, thermal, optical, and chemical properties, making them highly versatile for a wide range of applications. Their established roles in water treatment, energy conversion and storage, and biomedical engineering have attracted sustained research interest. More recently, emerging applications in flexible and wearable devices, next-generation electronics, environmental sensing, quantum computing, and advanced nanomedicine are unlocking new opportunities for innovation.

To fully leverage the potential of these materials, advances in synthesis and characterization are essential. Innovative synthesis strategies enable precise control over structure, composition, and functionality, while advanced characterization techniques provide critical insights into their physical, chemical, and structural properties—guiding design and optimization for targeted applications.

This Special Issue invites original research articles and reviews focusing on the synthesis, characterization, and application of carbon-based materials. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, their use in water purification, energy systems, biomedicine, electronics, sensors, and quantum technologies.

You’re warmly invited to submit your articles online by 31-Dec-2025
