- This Special Issue aims to explore the latest advancements in ergonomics that enhance productivity, safety, and well-being in modern workplaces.
- Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Human-centered design for smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0
- Ergonomic interventions in digitalized and automated work environments
- Cognitive ergonomics and human-computer interaction in smart systems
- Occupational health and safety strategies in evolving workplaces
- The role of ergonomics in sustainable and green workspaces
- Emerging technologies (AI, IoT, wearables) in ergonomic assessments
- This issue welcomes interdisciplinary research that bridges ergonomics with data-driven and AI-powered solutions to improve work efficiency and worker well-being.
- Researchers, practitioners, and policymakers are encouraged to submit studies that offer innovative insights into how ergonomic principles can be integrated into smart and sustainable work environments.
Submission Instructions
- Manuscripts should follow the word limit and formatting preferences outlined in the Ergonomics journal's Instructions for Authors.
- The Special Issue welcomes the following types of submissions:
- Original research articles
- Review articles
- Case studies
- Methodological papers related to ergonomics
- Authors must expand their submissions beyond what was presented in the IEA 2024 Conference proceedings to ensure significant additional content.
- When submitting through ScholarOne, please select "Advancing Ergonomics for Smart and Sustainable Workplaces: Selected Papers from IEA 2024" from the dropdown menu.
